The Kendal at Ithaca project consisted of 212 cottages and apartments for independent living.  The facility, situated on a 105 acre campus, offers extensive residential services and amenities, and comprehensive health care for life.  This $30.0 million project also included a community center and a health care center.  Built as an attractive choice for people over 65, this community offers independent living within a supportive community environment.  The community center houses lounges, formal and informal dining areas, banking, gift shop, auditorium, library, and beauty/barber shop.  Space is also dedicated for workshops, arts and crafts, exercise, and various recreational activities.

Christa's cost control and estimating services proved to be invaluable on this project.  Through extensive value engineering, knowledge of market conditions, and estimating effectiveness, this project was completed within budget.  Christa provided General Construction services.

Christa completed a subsequent project for Kendal Communities, a $4 million, 18,000 SF addition to the Casadila House, consisting of 24 assisted living units.
