The corporate offices of RBS Citizens N.A. in Rochester will open for business at Sagamore on East on Monday.

The bank, part of Rhode Island-based Citizens Financial Group Inc., a subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group PLC, announced in February 2008 it would move from its East Main Street offices to the second floor of the East Avenue office and condominium complex within a month.

Charles Vita, the bank’s Rochester District President, attributed the delay to normal planning procedures.

“We are excited and pleased to remain a committed growing business, headquartered in downtown Rochester along with our 37 branch offices throughout the extended Rochester community,” Vita said in a letter announcing the move.

RBS Citizens ranks third behind HSBC Bank USA N.A. and M&T Bank Corp. with $1.57 billion in local deposits in the Rochester market.

Christa Construction was responsible for the construction of the build-out for Citizens.
