The Chili Community Center is a 95,000 square foot facility. This community center houses a new library, senior center and recreation center with private fitness rooms and walking track on the second floor surrounding the gymnasium. A Community Center, Senior Center, and Library is built within a single facility. The library includes a children’s library that has bright colors and a play area with heated floors, a teen room with gaming area, and a quiet place to sit by the fireplace.

The gymnasium can be transformed from one large area into four small gyms using a dividing curtain system. The recreation space includes six pickleball courts, two volleyball courts, four youth basketball courts, table tennis and more. The second floor has an elevated walking track.

The senior lounge contains soft seating, a pool table, a fireplace and television in a bright and open space for socialization. The building also has a restaurant-quality kitchen, a large banquet room, meeting rooms and low-impact exercise rooms.

This project explores how a single facility can create efficiencies through shared space and encourage interaction between different user groups.

With the partnership of Passero Associates, this $20.0 million project will be a community hub for years to come for the Town of Chili.
