Thompson Hall, built in 1957, is a three-story dormitory, was renovated by Christa Construction, providing general contractor services and asbestos abatement.

The project included demolition and renovations to Residence Life Offices, RD Offices, RA Offices and mail area. Upgrades to the apartments included additional dorms, bathroom renovations, new student lounge, elevator and kitchenettes.

Thompson Hall features 66 two-bedroom apartments and 6 single room apartments. The newly renovating student housing hall houses 144 first-year students. Amenities include lounge with TV & kitchen, laundry machines and common bathroom areas on every floor. A game room is located on the first floor.

The building’s energy consumption was reduced through the installation of a high albedo roof replacement system and roof insulation with upgraded window units. High efficiency plumbing fixtures and flow restrictions were installed to reduce water usage. The design  featured low VOC materials, sustainable green materials and finishes. Energy and lighting controls as well as indoor air quality and day lighting have been incorporated. Through this, Thompson Hall is LEED Silver Certified.
