August 18, 2023 Christa Construction Completes Edna Craven Estates which Provides 164 Affordable Housing Units

August 18, 2023 (Rochester, NY) – The recently completed Edna Craven Estates provides 164 affordable housing units in Rochester, NY. This 4% HFA project aligns with Christa Construction’s sustainability efforts through the Energy Star Multifamily New Construction Energy Project. The development features 7 buildings with 1,2,3 and 4-bedroom units, a 5-story building with 94 units, a 4-story building with 20 units and five townhomes with 10 units each. It also features ground floor commercial space and a new community center.

The affordable housing community was developed on land that previously housed 23 vacant and blighted structures. The properties were acquired by the city of Rochester and demolished in advance of construction. The development is named after Edna Craven, who has been a committed advocate for Northeast Rochester for over 60 years.
