Affordable & Supportive Housing Rochester View Apartments – 61 Units

Rochester View Apartments is an affordable / supportive housing community. This community features 61 handicap accessible and adaptable apartment units for the deaf and hard of hearing.  The project features state-of-the-art communication equipment and high-contrast visual design. Open floor plans with handrails, an elevator accessible from the common area, and high visibility lighting are featured amenities. Technological enhancements include a lit doorbell and alarms, videophone/intercom capability, and adaptive equipment. Security cameras, secure, strobe lighting for CO2, and fire alarms are some of the safety and security features of this complex. Bedrooms are all wired for bed shakers in case of a fire or any other emergencies. Providing a safe, friendly, and comfortable living environment for the Deaf, signage with Braille markings, and an on-site manager fluent in ASL are a part of this community. The 69,000 square foot, two-story building, features a “U” shaped design. The building has many different elevations that provide a unique curb appeal.
